8 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Apr 6, 2015. I cant seem to find any information on this. I need to find my engine number (8 digit) on the engine block. can anyone tell me where exactly is it located? I have 525i e39 MY01. I know what it should be based on VIN, but i need to check it physically. When you remove the brake lines from the pre-charge pump, plug them with plastic stoppers of some sort to minimize the loss of brake fluid, especially from the line going to the DSC/ABS block. After replacing the pump & reconnecting the lines, jack the car and remove a wheel for access to the brake caliper. 797 My Cars chrysler turbo GM e39 m5 paint code label location? searched to no avail. some say the label is actually placed UNDER the hood somewhere. is that right? i always thought they were on or near the shock towers on ALL BMW's?? any info would be appreciated. anyone? I have a 03 530i silver metalic. Where do I find the code for the factory paint color I need to order some touch up paint for a scratch. I checked the stickers on the door jamb but they don't show it. TIA
Terminal 30. also often referred to as B+ is the permanent 12V supply to the DME via fuse #102 (80 Amps yeah. don't stick a screw driver in there). In the DME box it is the red wire on the 9-pin connector at pin #7. The code might be misleading but maybe this can give you a head start. Good luck.
Here is what the pre heater module looks like ,,,unplugging the two connector is a bitch because they point downward and you can only get to them from the top of the engine,,,,almost every BMW tech jokes about this module and the stupid location,,,,this module can also fault one glow plug no working,,,some people have replaced a faulty glow plug,,,,thinking that would fix the problem,,,,when
