Hi All, I have a Golf Mk7 1.2 TSI from 2013, which. Started overheating. The gauge goes from 90 to 120-130 in just a few seconds and then goes back down as fast after staying there for a while. There's no pattern to it, it can happen after 3 hours of driving like after 4 minutes of standing still. Electronic diagnostic did not detect anything.

If only the pixies had got to the clutch of the DSG 7 gearbox, or the clutch of a manual GTI mk7 and made that last a 'lifetime', or maybe they did and got confused about what 'lifetime' to use - maybe that of a sick looking goldfish. My word of advice - change the coolant after 5 years, the corrosion inhibitors are completely finished by then.
