Emergency Side Stand Sensor Bypass Dongle for KTM 790/890 With the new era of over-complicated sidestand sensors it is easy to be left stranded by a non-functioning safety device. This product solves that inconvenience by bypassing the sidestand sensor. Many aggressive off-road riders choose to bypass this safety switch off the pavement due to the [âŚ] Just bought an 890 adventure couple weeks ago. Also just learned about the reducing oil jet inspection, cleaning and/or removal. My local dealer wants ~$476 for the 600 mile service. I am sure I can accomplish most of the checklist but concerned about getting the jet out without complications. 241. Location: Portland, OR. Touratech 30mm Lowering Fork & Shock Spring Kit, KTM 890 & 790 Adventure / R (touratech-usa.com) Has anyone tried this? I've seen a couple other suppliers with these kits and wondered how they worked in lowering the seat height.
The 790 Adventure though is a much more refined ride. Itâs pokey enough, with 95bhp on tap and has perfectly set up fuelling and throttle mapping, but next to the Duke it almost feels restrained! Oddometer: 3,202. Location: Spain. No real issues for me on the 890 in 35c Spanish sun. Though perhaps at those temps the engine heat can't really be felt anymore than the regular hot ass weather. The bike does run warm, fans come on regularly, but I don't have an issue with legs getting cooked.
The first batch of 790 Adventure suffered some common issues. Those will be fixed over time, but if you get a new bike itâs a good idea to check if you are affected by some. Coolant leak. Double check the bash plate install. Early clutch failures. Faulty Brake Light Switch sensor. Fuel gauge not working.
These machines are constructed there, and I used an old design 2016 Duke 390 for 2 years, in which I had no problems. After the design changed, even KTM services faced many problems with the machines. I'm not saying that this ad is true, but there's something wrong with the new KTM manufacturing.
The tech package is hard to pass up for $500. I canât imagine youâd regret it in the long run. If you donât get those electronics activate youâll probably always wonder about the potential of the bike thatâs locked away. If you canât swing it right now, you can always unlock it with your dealer at a late date. 08nu.
